Manchester United's Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly on the radar of Italian giants Juventus. Zirkzee made his switch to Old Trafford following the European Championships in Germany last summer, and despite a humble goal tally at Bologna, the Dutch striker managed to score 11 times in Serie A before joining United.
The previous season was a rollercoaster for Zirkzee, kicking off with a debut-winning goal against Fulham at Old Trafford, but he did not find the back of the net again in the Premier League until he scored twice in a 4-0 rout of Everton. Italian news outlet Tuttosport suggests that the Dutch forward has admirers in Turin, with Juve having been linked with Zirkzee in the past - primarily during the January transfer window.
While a move didn't come to fruition, Juve boss Giuntoli hasn't ruled out the possibility of the Serie A club making a bid for him. As quoted by Football Italia, he said: "Zirkzee? It's not appropriate to mention names, but we are keeping an eye on any interesting opportunities, and we will move to strengthen."
This follows earlier reports that Juve striker Dusan Vlahovic has been "offered" to the Red Devils. The Serbia international's contract with the Serie A titans expires at the end of next season and he doesn't seem to be part of the club's long-term plans.
Vlahovic had a strong presence in Serie A last season, netting 10 goals and setting up four more in his 29 appearances. The Serbian star was a key player for the team until he suffered a few injuries during the holiday season.
Upon taking over from Thiago Motta as Juventus' new head coach, Igor Tudor couldn't help but sing Vlahovic's praises. Speaking to the Italian media in March, the Croatian boss enthused: "He's a very strong player and I'm happy to coach him.
"I've already spoken about him in the past, these are facts, not just words. He's a player who has all the skills that a top-class player needs to have. He knows how to score goals, he understands, he's intelligent, a motivator."
The Juventus manager further added: "He's coming off this moment, we've talked, we've exchanged opinions. He wants to work. We have him and [Randal] Kolo [Muani], who are both strong players."
