An Italian-born contestant on BBC's MasterChef was seen slamming judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace after they criticized her dish on Thursday's episode. Passionate cook Olivia joined five other amateur chefs in hopes of snagging a coveted white apron on the cooking series. But after cooking a Southern Italian inspired dish of fregola pasta in a prawn bisque with mussels, prawns and clams, the judges offered up a verdict that left her "annoyed."
As both Gregg and John complemented the overall flavour of the dish, they both commented that the pasta was "too al dente," telling her "I like mine cooked a little bit more." Clearly unhappy with the verdict, Olivia was seen blasting: "I do know how to cook a pasta, like this I what I've been doing my entire life. "And I'm very annoyed because I think that Italy could like take my passport before I deliver a raw pasta you know?"
Fans were stunned at the reaction. One fan chimed in on X: "Olivia is going to smash the gaff up if she isnt through to semi finals jesus! #masterchef",
Another penned: "Omg Olivia is miserable looking" while a third added: "Cheer up Olivia".
Olivia was joined by Head of E- Commerce-Fashion, Gabirel, Professor Ali, Software Developer Mel, Jeweller Zee and Assistant Psychologist Molly.
Fortunately for Olivia, her dish still shone through as she was sent through to the next round, winning herself a white apron. Unfortunately for Ali and Mel it was time to go home.
Tonight's episode marked the final batch of amateur cook-offs before the next faze of the competition starts.
Viewers were left baffled by one contestant's wardrobe choice on last night's episode of MasterChef (September 3) - with some branding it "unhygienic" and "inappropriate" for the kitchen.

Francesca, a 26-year-old estate agent, made her debut in the BBC cooking competition wearing an off-the-shoulder black top that cut across under her armpit and left one arm bare.
The bold fashion choice instantly set social media alight, with many questioning whether it was suitable attire for handling food in a professional kitchen environment.
Fans flocked to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts. One viewer fumed: "Woman in the MasterChef kitchen with a one-armed top on. Weird choice and the exposed skin/armpit just looks unhygienic in this context. I'm uncomfortably distracted. #MasterChef."
Another added: "Francesca needs to go. Inappropriate top for the kitchen, and she's an estate agent." A third joked that the contestant looked like she was "heading for cocktails rather than a cook-off."
This isn't the first time MasterChef has faced backlash over questionable kitchen attire. In a recent episode, fans once agains slammed a contestant outfit as "unhygenic" give that her long sleeves appeared to be touching the food.
