Santander is one of a number of banks shutting branches over the summer. Fourteen of the bank's outlets are due to close in towns and cities across the country in August.
The shift to online banking has been blamed for the closures by banks including NatWest, Lloyds and Halifax. Santander announced in March that it was to close 95 branches, reduce hours at 36 others and remove front counters from 18.
The branches closing this month, in alphabetical order of location, are:
Blyth, Northumberland - August 5
Brixton, London - August 11
Canvey Island, Essex - August 5
Downpatrick, County Down - August 6
Edgware Road, St. John's Wood, London - August 12
Finchley, London - August 6
Formby, Merseyside - August 11
Holywell, Clwyd - August 12
Plympton, Devon - August 14
Rustington, West Sussex - August 5
Sidcup, Kent - August 11
Whitley Bay, Tyne & Wear - August 6
Willerby, Willerby Shopping Park, North Humberside - August 13
Wimborne, Dorset - August 4
Santander has said previously that it has seen a "rapid" shift of customers from High Streets to digital banking.
A spokesperson for the bank said in spring: "Closing a branch is always a very difficult decision and we spend a great deal of time assessing where and when we do this and how to minimise the impact it may have on our customers."
Research published by the consumer group Which? in 2024 showed nearly 6,000 bank branches closed over the last decade.
MPs have raised concerns about the impact of closures, especially on rural communities where internet connections can be patchy. Access to cash is another concern raised by parliamentarians.
There are also concerns about some older people who struggle to use online banking services or have doubts about how secure their accounts would be.
The Government has announced plans to boost the number of banking hubs to 350 over the next five years.
