It has been reported that Sarah Ferguson has been cut by ITV's This Morning and Loose Women after being embroiled in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, which saw Prince Andrew threatened with eviction and stripped of his titles. According to the Daily Mail, ITV chiefs have stated Ferguson, 66, won't be appearing on the programmes despite once being hailed the "saviour" of the broadcaster's daytime schedule.
It's been a difficult few weeks for the royal, following more revelations about her ex-husband Andrew's dealings with paedophile Epstein, after The Mail on Sunday discovered an email she wrote to the disgraced financier apologising for disassociating from him publicly after he was convicted for procuring a girl under 18 for intercourse.
A source has now told the publication: "Fergie won't be appearing on ITV again; there is nothing in the pipeline for her. There were once such high hopes for her that she appeared on This Morning as a guest presenter and contributor, as well as Loose Women."
"There will be no more Fergie on ITV; there are no longer any current plans or any plans for the future. She's done with the channel now."
ITV and Ferguson's representatives have been contacted by Express.co.uk for comments.
However, since her Epstein email came to light, Loose Women stars have slammed her. Jane Moore said in recent weeks on the show: "The deadly cocktail of her naivety and fondness for the high life has always made her something of a loose cannon.
"And this shameless grovelling to a deeply nasty man isn't a forgivable human frailty - it shows craven greed and rampant self-preservation that, worst of all, betrays Epstein's many victims."
In the 2011 email, Ferguson appeared to apologise for her rejection of Epstein in the public eye, writing: "You have always been a steadfast, generous and supreme friend to me and my family."
A few weeks earlier, she participated in an interview in which she said her relationship with Epstein was a "gigantic error of judgment".
Loose Women airs at 12.30pm on weekdays and This Morning airs daily between 10am and 12.30pm on ITV.
