Serena Williams has directly responded to critics of her incredible body transformation, keeping her athletic physique three years after retiring from tennis. Her sister, Venus, recently made a comeback to the WTA Tour at the age of 45 and Serena has very clearly been staying in shape also.
The 23-time Grand Slam winner shared a series of pictures on Instagram last month in the gym, with chiselled abs. She captioned the post: "Working out and working on my angles." Her lean physique wowed fans as British model Naomi Campbell was among the many in Williams' comments praising her hard work.
She then stunned in a bright-blue bikini on a yacht as she enjoyed her vacation, setting tongues wagging again regarding her appearance. But she has unfortunately received backlash from critics over her figure.
The 43-year-old was stopped on the street by TMZ and when asked how she was doing, replied: "Look good, feel good, right?"
Williams was directly quizzed on the critics of her body transformation and said: "Everyone looks great!"
The outlet claims that Williams has lost 44 pounds (3.1 stone) after giving birth to her second daughter, through a plant-based diet. She also does cryotherapy, which puts the body in freezing temperatures in order to aid fat loss.

This week, she officially joined Ritual as the brand's first-ever women's health advisor and shared her supplement routine.
This includes a women's multivitamin 18+, Synbiotic+, which blends prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics, and Hyacera, in one daily capsule.
The tennis legend was spotted out in New York City with her husband Alexis Ohanian and their two daughters on Friday, with their dog named after Rafael Nadal.
And she has clashed with her Reddit co-founder husband, with Alexis opening up on how their daughter Olympia receives pocket money for doing chores around the house.
Despite their estimated combined net worth of £330million, Olympia earns £5 a week for her efforts at home. But mum Serena managed to get weekends off for her daughter in some tough negotiations.
"Yes, Olympia's got a contract," Alexis said on social media. "£5-a-week allowance, negotiated by her mom (who somehow got her weekends off). Feed the dog, clothes in the hamper, make her bed, get paid. We're trying to build the muscle: work = reward. Good things come when you work for it.
"Serena was her lawyer in the negotiation. I drew up a real contract. Her mom was her counsel, which was really frustrating. She's gotta feed the dog, put her clothes in the hamper, makes her bed.
"We're trying to create that flywheel between doing the work and getting the money, and then understanding that there are things you could want."
