This is the terrifying moment a double decker bus crashes into a dental clinic after hitting a taxi. Video posted on social media shows the Number 3 bus for Crystal Palace turning down a road in Westminster, central London, smashing into the hackney carriage as its driver waits at traffic lights then mounting a pavement and ploughing into the business's window.

The force of the bus pushes the taxi onto the walkway as the double decker smacks into the clinic near the corner of Marsham Street and Great Peter Street on Tuesday (October 7) at about 1.30pm.

Seconds before the bus crash video shows pedestrians walking past the clinic. Luckily, the pavement was empty when the vehicle came off the road.

One person was taken to hospital by paramedics from London Ambulance Service and firefighters from London Fire Brigade attended to check the building was safe.

The Brigade told the BBC there was minor damage to the building.

Rosie Trew, Head of Bus Service Delivery at Transport for London, said TfL is working with bus operator Transport UK to investigate what caused the collision in Great Peter Street.

She told the broadcaster: "Our thoughts are with the one person who is believed to have been injured and with anyone else impacted by this distressing incident. We have support available for anyone affected."
