The UK's top curry houses revealed - is your local on the list?

Curry houses are a fixture of British towns and cities, and have been for many decades. Everyone has their go to Asian eatery, and some may be wondering whether theirs has been nominated in this year's Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA). The ceremony is held every year, with the best restaurants vying for commendations. More than 1,295 venues from across the UK were nominated by diners and food lovers for this year's ceremony, taking place on October 6, organisers say.

Mohammed Munim, founder member and CEO of ARTA, said: "Asian restaurants and takeaways have long played a vital role in the UK's economy and culture. Their contribution through job creation, community impact, and culinary excellence, deserves to be recognised. Especially in today's challenging climate, ARTA is proud to champion their achievements and support their continued success.
