A foreign holiday means it's time to unwind, but the last thing you need is to arrive and find that you can't charge your devices. That's why travellers need to go equipped for all occasions, and this discounted charging kit from Maplin could be just the ticket.

At the heart of this package is the power pack, letting users switch the plugs so they can use it at home in the UK, or in Europe, Asia, USA or Australia. There's no need to mess around with different adapters, this one will do it all and it's discounted, saving more than £16.

Not only can electricals be plugged directly into the power pack - with support for up to 2500W, so it will power a hairdryer - but it's equipped with a couple of USB-C and a USB-A sockets (cables also included), so it can charge the likes of a phone, headphones or Kindle.

The USB connections will give 20W power, so it will charge a little faster than some of the more basic ones on the market. Best of all, this Maplin charger comes with built-in overload, short circuit and temperature protection, so while charging multiple devices, they'll be safe.

This charging kit also bundles in a Devia wireless charging pad, which is where it gets really versatile. This supports Qi charging standards, so it can charge up to three devices, ideal for your iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch. It's magnetic too, so those devices won't slide off.

It will charge at up to 15W, but the rate will depend on the device. Best of all, users can charge a range of devices without needing loads of extra plugs. It's worth £25 on its own, so even if you don't travel with it, it's a great addition to your bedside table.

If you're not interested in the wireless charging, then you can get the Maplin travel adapter on its own, discounted to £18.39.

There are lots of options for travel adapters on the market and an alternative to Maplin's option is this worldwide travel adapter, currently discounted on Amazon to £21.57. Here the different international plugs are built-in, so it's a little easier to pack. It also supports charging speeds up to 35W. This does highlight a downside to the Maplin deal, as it's priced slightly higher for less charging speeds than the cheaper Amazon alternative.

Another option for shoppers is Argos' Belkin travel adapter set - which is £17.99 - although this much cheaper set doesn't include a wireless charging dock.

Maplin's kit also includes a couple of cables, so you don't have to scavenge those from around your home before you leave, as you'll have a dedicated set ready to travel with you. Best of all, the USB-C cable here is braided, supports up to 60W charging, so it's futureproofed.

With all your charging organised, wherever you're heading, all you'll have to think about is packing your sunscreen.
