Nintendo Switch 2 owners looking for more storage space should consider a deal currently running at Very. The Micro SD Express cards compatible with the console are currently the cheapest price we've seen since launch.
Whether it's to make room for the newly released EA Sports FC 26, to accommodate a copy of Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, or just to create space for more Fortnite skins, the offer should appeal. The Sandisk Nintendo Switch 2 Micro SD Express 512GB cards are listed for £79.99, the cheapest we've ever seen. Very also has the smaller 256GB version of the same Sandisk card for £40.99, almost £10 less than the price at launch.
At the time of writing, Very has a better price than other retailers: Smyth's Toys and Amazon are both selling the 512GB version for £93.99.
The Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo's follow up console to the smash success handheld/home console hybrid, has smashed sales records since its launch in June, with hit games Mario Kart World and DK Bananza topping the UK games charts.
But one sticking point has been the price of SD Cards for the Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo's new console doesn't work with standard SD Cards.
That's because Nintendo opted for new Micro SD Express technology for the Switch 2. These are much faster read speed cards, which will play the latest games without stuttering and with lightning fast load times.
At launch it was almost impossible to get a 512GB SD Card Express, while 256GB cards were also expensive.
The Very offer is such a good deal that the 512GB cards sold out on Tuesday but are back in stock today - at least, until they sells out again.
There are only a few reviews so far at Very but all praise the cards. One wrote: "Great if you download a lot of games onto your Switch 2. I prefer digital games so mine filled up pretty quickly...Now I no longer have to delete games to free up space when I need to download something. Excellent."
Another shopper, who purchased their 512GB card from Smyths Toys, said that the it does use up some of the memory in the formatting - 50GB - however it should be noted that this would be the case with most memory storage cards.
