JAMMU: A 17-year-old girl died after being hit by an unknown vehicle in Kathua on Friday night while at least 10 people were injured when their vehicle was hit by a landslide at Sigdi Balana area of Kishtwar district on Saturday, police said.
Police said the victim in the first accident, Kritika Pansotra, was the daughter of one Ram Pal from Kathua. She was found lying by the roadside after her scooty was hit by an unidentified vehicle. “The girl was taken to GMC Kathua , where doctors declared her ‘brought dead’,” police said.
In the second accident, 10 people were injured after their vehicle was hit by a landslide in Sigdi Balan on Saturday. “A 10-seater MUV on way to Kishtwar from Sigdi came under a landslide near Balana resulting in injuries to all the passengers on board,” police said
“All injured passengers were rescued and taken to the district hospital in Kishtwar. Their condition is stable,” police said.
