She was shot and killed on November 15, 2025, during a fight with her boyfriend, 25-year-old Shanoyd Whyte Jr. After her death, a new family fight began. He added that the public viewing would still be open. Fans could come and say goodbye. But he repeated that he would not join the funeral if a wig was used. He said, “Put my son in some pop smoke braids with a short tape or an afro for the last time.”

Officers later saw surveillance video of Shanoyd Whyte holding what looked like a gun. He has now been charged with first-degree murder .
